The Spring Term Honors Roundtable will take place on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. in Main Hall 211. At this meeting, Prof. Powell will go over the guidelines for completing an honors project, and will also speak about the guidelines for projects in the arts. Prof. Gretchen Revie will offer suggestions for how to make best use of library resources. A panel of students who have recently completed Honors projects will offer suggestions and tips based on their own experiences. Students in attendance will be asked to say a few words about their potential topics. All students thinking about working on Honors projects next year are strongly encouraged to attend.
SUMMARY OF DEADLINES
second week of May |
Tuesday, May 11, 2010 (by 3:00 PM): Four copies of the honors paper must be taken to Prof. Antoinette Powell in the Seeley G. Mudd Library. Prof. Powell will make a copy of the title page and return the copies to the student. |
May 14 through May 28 |
Oral examinations are conducted. Thursday, May 20, 2010 4:30 pm in the Seeley G. Mudd Library Rm. 401: Spring term Honors Roundtable, an informational meeting arranged by the Honors Committee and intended to provide information for juniors contemplating honors projects in their senior year. |
First two weeks of June |
Wednesday, June 2, 2010: advisers have returned the Committee Signature Page and also the Committee Report signed by all examiners and detailing the findings of the Honors Examination Committee to Prof. Powell. Representatives of the Honors Committee have returned evaluation reports on oral examinations to Prof. Powell. |
