Hopfensberger Award
Lawrence is pleased to announce the availability of the Joseph A. Hopfensperger Award. The award was established in 1990 in honor of Hopfensperger’s retirement as resident director of Björklunden, the college’s northern campus. Hopfensperger, a 1952 graduate of Lawrence University, also served as assistant dean of men, industrial placement director, head resident of Brokaw Hall and professor of theatre and drama. The fund allows Lawrence students to participate in the summer seminars offered at Björklunden.
The recipient will have the opportunity to spend a week in residence at Björklunden attending a seminar of their choice.
Applications will be considered and decisions made by a review panel of Lawrence faculty and staff. Interviews will be conducted early in Term III. Grant recipients will be notified no later than April 2010. Completed applications must be received by March 19, 2010.
Send all materials to: Janice Staedt, Office of Development, Landis-Peabody janice.staedt@lawrence.edu
